During this difficult time, Shangri-La’s – Eros Hotel, New Delhi has been a resource for its community by donating food and supplies to community members and organizations in need. Beyond the property’s charitable contributions, individual colleagues have gone above and beyond by lending helping hands outside the hotel.
Jacqueline Dalmeida, learning and development manager at the hotel, has provided counseling to college students who are suffering from psychological and emotional challenges due to the lockdown and circumstances. Dalmeida has mentored seven and introduced them to online learning resources to help advance their studies and potential careers in hospitality.
Sree Kumar, CHI, The Spa manager, volunteered individually to donate food to 200 stranded migrants in the city.
Gurpeet Singh, a member of the front office team, has cooked meals for homeless community members who are currently staying at Bangla Sahib Gurudwara house of worship. Singh also helps our furry friends by feeding stray animals milk and bread every night.
Salvina Francis, another member of the front office team, distributes sanitation kits to community members from underprivileged backgrounds. The executive team has donated INR19,500 (about USD260) out of their own pockets to purchase and donate hygiene supplies, food and more to community members in need.
Thank you to our selfless colleagues for helping our community members during this difficult time.
