Since 1994, breast cancer has become the top cancer type among women in Hong Kong and, if detected early, has a close to 90 percent survival rate. To join in the fight against breast cancer and raise awareness throughout the city, Kerry Hotel, Hong Kong’s popular rooftop cocktail bar, Red Sugar, joined forces with internationally-acclaimed mixologist Antonio Lai to create Drink Pink, a special cocktail menu that supports the Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation.
The menu offers four delicious pink cocktails – Think Pink, Pink Is In The Air, All Clear and El Pecho. Ten percent of the proceeds will be donated to Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation, which provides resources and research to the cause, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure for breast cancer.
To create the blush-themed cocktails, Red Sugar’s bartender Simon Kwong worked hand in hand with Antonio Lai.
The Think Pink cocktail is presented in an exclusive Hennessey glass and features yuzu and hibiscus tea that are known to be good for longevity.
Pink Is In The Air is an aromatic drink made with Cointreau liqueur and Belvedere vodka and bursts with strawberry and kiwi flavors. The drink is presented with a whimsical sweet fluffy foam.
All Clear is a refreshing pink citrus concoction made with grapefruit juice and the newly-launched pink gin by Gordon.
El Pecho is a robust agave cocktail made with fresh watermelon juice, coconut water, Casamigos tequila and agave.
Along with the delicious cocktails, Antonio Lai will host a cocktail masterclass, during which guests can learn expert cocktail secrets and perfect their mixology skills. Sixty percent of the proceeds will be donated to the Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation.
