Hong Kong Hotels Support Local Breast Cancer Foundation With Cake for A Cause

Until September 30, Island Shangri-La, Hong Kong, Kowloon Shangri-La, Hong Kong and Kerry Hotel, Hong Kong have teamed up to support The Hong Kong Hereditary Breast Cancer Family Registry with a special Peony Blush cake. Created by the hotels’ talented executive pastry chefs, the cake is encased with chocolate glaze and features layers of toasted coconut sponge, berry jelly, white chocolate shavings and zesty lime-whipped ganache on a crunchy biscuit base. The cake’s color is an ode to the peony flower, which is known as a symbol of harmony and prosperity.

The cake is available in two sizes at HKD450 for 1.5 pounds, and HKD53 for an individual portion. Ten percent of the proceeds will be donated to the Hong Kong Hereditary Breast Cancer Family Registry, which supports families from disadvantaged backgrounds and affected by breast cancer.
