January 31, 2019

On January 12, colleagues from Hotel Jen Hong Kong, Island Shangri-La, Hong Kong and Kerry Hotel, Hong Kong participated in the 26th Annual Green Power Hike. The annual hiking event is held to inspire Hong Kong citizens to spend time outdoors, appreciate the city’s natural beauty and raise funds for environmental protection.

“During the 10-kilometer hike, our team took part in green activities,” said Ijo Tang, senior marketing communications executive at Hotel Jen Hong Kong. “One of the activities was ‘Take Your Litter Home,’ during which we collected waste and recyclable items. We disposed of the collected items properly after the hike.”

Julian Darisse, resident manager at Island Shangri-La, completed his 10-kilometer hike in one hour, seven minutes and 11 seconds, which was the fastest within the Island Shangri-La team. With his impressive time, Julian finished the race in 10th place out of 160 participants.

Congratulations to Julian and all Shangri-La, Hotel Jen and Kerry Hotel colleagues who participated in the event.
