On December 22, Shangri-La’s Boracay Resort & Spa, Philippines partnered with the Makati Medical Centre Foundation to organize its eighth medical mission at Yapak Elementary School. The mission provides free health treatment to underprivileged members of the community.

Throughout the one-day mission, 10 resort volunteers, 16 doctors from the Makati Medical Centre, four teachers from Yapak Elementary School and 10 volunteers from the Barangay Rural Health Unit helped 284 patients with consultations, examinations, dental procedures and medicinal prescriptions. Over 100 children from underprivileged communities were given free health consultations.
