With “caring” as one of Hotel Jen’s core values, Hotel Jen Hong Kong aims to uplift members of the community and beautify the city. Here are a few programs and activities that the hotel completed in fall 2018.
Colleagues from Hotel Jen Hong Kong regularly visit the HKSKH Western District Elderly Community Centre to serve meals and engage with the senior citizens.
“We are happy to see this meaningful visit not only bring happiness to the seniors, but also pay attention to the aging issue in the community and take care of them the best way we know how,” said Ijo Tang, senior marketing communications executive at Hotel Jen Hong Kong.
To add some color to their daily lives, Hotel Jen Hong Kong partnered with Hong Kong Tramways to host a sightseeing day for members of HKSKH Western District Elderly Community Centre. Well-known tram expert Alan Cheung led the tram tour and introduced historic sights and shared history of buildings they passed.
“For many, it was truly a trip down memory lane!” said Tang.
On Coastal Cleanup Day, 14 colleagues from Hotel Jen Hong Kong partnered with colleagues from Island Shangri-La, Hong Kong and Kowloon Shangri-La, Hong Kong during a beach cleanup on Stanley Main Beach. After the long day of cleaning, the group collected over 65 kilograms (about 143 pounds) of garbage and debris from the beach.
