Shangri-La Hotel, Qingdao Celebrates Chinese New Year by Giving Back to the City’s Hidden Heroes

For centuries, Chinese New Year has been celebrated throughout Asia as a time to appreciate friends and loved ones. This year, Shangri-La Hotel, Qingdao decided to show its appreciation for the city’s unsung heroes including the city’s sanitation workers, bus drivers, taxi drivers, metro workers and Qingdao Model Driver volunteers. On February 8, 2018, the hotel invited 50 city workers to celebrate the festive season during a special Chinese New Year lunch.

 

The event began as Mr. Francis Ke, resident manager of Shangri-La Hotel, Qingdao, and the hotel’s management team warmly welcomed all of the attendees.

 

After welcoming the attendees to the event, Mr. Ke delivered a speech to express the hotel’s heartfelt gratitude for the workers’ dedication to the city.

 

The event continued as attendees chatted with one another and enjoyed a well-deserved relaxing Chinese New Year lunch.

 

Shangri-La Hotel, Qingdao continued the fun gathering by raffling off Chinese New Year goodies.
