Guests Can Make A Difference By Donating Golden Circle Points

Around the world, Shangri-La guests can redeem Golden Circle Award Points for meaningful experiences including room nights, dining credit, spa experiences and more. But did you know that you can donate your Golden Circle Award Points to charitable causes?

Golden Circle members can donate Golden Circle Award Points to three charitable organizations and projects. Each donation starts from 2,000 Golden Circle Award Points and is up to a maximum of 10,000 points. For every 1,000 Golden Circle Award Points donated, Shangri-La will make a USD20 contribution on the donor’s behalf to one of the charitable causes.

Check out how you can make a difference with your Golden Circle Award Points.

Donate to Shangri-La’s Care for Panda Project

In 2012, Shangri-La launched its first Sanctuary project in mainland China, the Care for Panda project in Chengdu. The center works with a 1.6-hectare bamboo plantation to ensure food security for pandas in the Dujiangyan Panda Base and Panda Kitchen. Golden Circle Award Points can help the Dujiangyan Panda Base build a bamboo garden with different species of bamboo that will enable the center to continue its panda research, as well as improve its educational area for visitors. For every 2,000 Golden Circle Award Points, approximately 4.4 bamboo seedlings will be planted. Donate here.
