At Shangri-La, we try to treat every guest as VIP, especially those with special needs. On May 9, Kowloon Shangri-La, Hong Kong hosted members of Hong Kong Seeing Eye Dog Services (HKSEDS) for a workshop to teach colleagues how to better care for visually impaired guests and their guide dogs.
During the workshop, colleagues welcomed Hardos, an HKSEDS-bred dog who is training to be a seeing-eye dog. With the help of Hardos and members of HKSEDS, colleagues learned how to assist the visually-impaired and their guide dogs through interactive activities of simulation and role play.
“With a genuine desire to create the most pleasant experience for all guests, our colleagues showed great devotion and enthusiasm while learning skills to better help the visually-impaired,” said Patsy Chan, director of communications at the hotel. “With these skills, our colleagues hope to improve guests’ experiences.”
We look forward to providing visually-impaired guests even better experiences during their stays at Kowloon Shangri-La, Hong Kong!
