On your marks, get set, eco-friendly! Recently, Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur gave the green light to operate a brand-new fleet of environmentally-friendly limousines, the Mercedes-Benz E-300 BlueTEC HYBRID. The hotel is the first in Malaysia to use the model for its limousine services.

The hotel decided to use Mercedes-Benz E-300 BlueTEC HYBRID for its eco-friendly enhanced fuel economy, lower emissions and comprehensive recycling concept in its design. The model achieved top marks for its reduced CO2 emissions. And, as with limousines at all Shangri-La hotels and resorts, guests will be able to connect to WiFi in the cars for free.

Manfred Weber, general manager at Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, said the initiative reaffirms the hotel’s commitment toward building a more sustainable future.

“We are deeply committed towards protecting the environment and aim to continue doing so to inspire others and lead by example,” said Weber.

The hotel now looks forward to giving guests smooth, comfortable and eco-friendly car rides throughout the city.
