Shangri-La Hotel, Tianjin Spends March Engaging With Its Community
As one of the four pillars of Shangri-La’s Sustainability, Our Community is dedicated to engaging with the communities in which we operate and enhance the quality of life. Check out how Shangri-La Hotel, Tianjin committed to engaging with its community during March.
On March 6 and 20, volunteers from Shangri-La Hotel, Tianjin visited young patients at the Tianjin Medical University Cancer Institute & Hospital. The children enjoyed a fun-filled day playing games, listening to stories and making crafts with hotel colleagues.
“It was my second time visiting these children,” said Cherry Wu, a hotel colleague. “I was very happy to see the children’s smiling faces during the games. I hope to participate in more volunteer programs to help more people in the future.”
On March 21 and 22, Shangri-La Hotel, Tianjin partnered with the Tianjin Blood Centre to host blood volunteer trainings for hotel colleagues. Following the trainings, all trained volunteers are capable to support Tianjin Blood Centre donation stations on a bi-weekly basis.
“We are proud to work closely with the Tianjin Blood Center to support blood donor recruitment and services, and show our care to blood donors in our community,” said Cecilia Wang, training manager at Shangri-La Hotel, Tianjin. “We look forward to seeing our colleagues help with the services and engage even more with our community!”
