Shangri-La Resorts in Kota Kinabalu Add Color to Tuaran Community Rehabilitation Centre
Oscar Wilde once said, “Mere color can speak to the soul in a thousand different ways.” On July 7, colleagues at Shangri-La’s Rasa Ria Resort & Spa, Kota Kinabalu and Shangri-La’s Tanjung Aru Resort & Spa, Kota Kinabalu added color to a local community center.
In partnership with students from the University College Sabah Foundation and lecturers from the Teaching & Learning Factory, the team painted a floor-to-ceiling mural at the Tuaran Community Rehabilitation Centre (Pusat Pemulihan Dalam Komuniti Tuaran). Depicting a fun world made of candy and sweets, the mural is now the first thing that greets visitors and residents as they enter the center.
This CSR project for the Tuaran Community Rehabilitation Centre follows the resorts’ successful fundraising effort. On April 8, the resorts held the fourth annual Ride for Autism Awareness. All proceeds from the ride went to support the center’s education programs that focus on individuals with autism and other disabilities.
Congratulations to both resorts for the continued support for Our Community.
