Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok Introduces New Mediterranean-Inspired Rooted In Nature Dishes
Updated: Jan 31
At Shangri-La, we know that delicious food and beverage options taste even better when the ingredients are responsibly sourced. In keeping with Rooted in Nature, Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts’ group-wide sustainable food and beverage initiative, Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok introduces its Taste of the Mediterranean menu. Available every Thursday night at NEXT2 Café, the new menu features dishes with sustainably-sourced, raised or grown ingredients.
A highlight of the menu includes Black Pig Schnitzels made with hormone-free and chemical-free pork. Raised at Smart Satellites Farms, the black pigs are raised in large open spaces using modern technology to reduce carbon footprint.
Fish lovers can enjoy Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) certified Keta salmon. The fish is caught through sustainable and responsible fishing methods from the cold waters of Alaska.
“Through Rooted in Nature, we are thrilled to provide our guests sustainable dining options as well as set a good example for responsible food and beverage practices in our community,” said Caroline Cheah, general manager of the hotel.
Congratulations to Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok for expanding its Rooted in Nature offerings! We look forward to trying the dishes next Thursday night.
