Making Memories in Manila: Colleagues and Guest at Edsa Shangri-La Visit Local Children Center
Updated: Jan 31
At Shangri-La, we encourage our colleagues to give back to their communities not only through fundraisers and events, but also by spending quality time with community members. Sometimes, the initiatives go further to extend to guests who want to make a difference.
Recently, colleagues at Edsa Shangri-La, Manila organized a CSR mission to visit the young students at nearby Unang Hakbang Foundation (UCF) for a day of learning and fun. Invited by the front office team, one long-staying guest decided to join in on the fun of giving back to the community.
Throughout the day, the guest and colleagues spent time with the children by participating in story time, games and helping with math and English tutorials.
“The children at UHF had a lot of fun learning their lessons with their adult peers,” said Pauline Rica De Leon, secretary to the resident manager at Edsa Shangri-La, Manila.
According to the guest, the initiative was an amazing experience that left him humbled and amazed.
A special thank you to the guest who participated in the CSR-filled day in Manila, as well as to our colleagues at Edsa Shangri-La, Manila for planning and implementing the initiative.
