Shangri-La Group strives to deliver luxury without compromising our natural resources and is committed to addressing the impact of climate change in our destinations. We are passionate about conserving the biodiversity of these places and protecting the many endangered species for future generations to enjoy. We focus on optimal energy and water use, managing our overall carbon footprint and waste as well as restoring natural surroundings and habitats to the best we can.
We are committed to creating environmentally responsible and resource-efficient facilities as part of the Group’s green policies. This includes reducing our overall plastic footprint, especially single-use plastics. To protect the environment, we have introduced water bottling plants and other more sustainable materials across hotel operations. In other areas, we have implemented smart technology food waste management, low temperature laundry facilities, composting and on-property herb gardens to manage food waste, and more.
